5th September 2009 --- After a long wait of 10 years, 37s finally returned to the Saturday Weymouth diagram instead of the usual pair of ‘67s’ to mark the expected end of another long established loco hauled diagram which could see the Dorset resort without any loco hauled activity next Summer. After being rumoured to make an appearance on the Taunton to Cardiff diagram only for it not to take place, FGW this time requested two DBS ‘37s’ to mark the final day of the loco hauled diagram, with37670 and 37401 providing the power, the pair speed through Newton St Loe on the approach to Twerton tunnel with possibly the last loco hauled 2O72 Bristol Temple Meads to Weymouth...only time will tell if this was the last appearance.

11th September 2009 --- With many more reinstatements to follow, 60073 has been a target for many railenthusiasts when it came out of storage last weekend. Going to Carlisle, Tees and Doncaster, the tug made its way down on Wednesday morning and took over from 60013 on the 6B13 Robeston to Westerleigh and 6B47 duties. This is the first time this year that 60073 has been in traffic. The tug with the 6B47 empty murco tanks in tow passes Purton just minutes infront of the 6V67. The old severn railway bridge used to go over the railway line (near to the end of the wagon in the photo) and would cross both the railway line and the river in this shot.
